SENIOR TECHNICAL ARTIST NEW IP

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a technical artist who will make a major contribution to creating the liveliest video game environments ever seen.  

  • Never use the word “impossible”. 

  • Push boundaries of modern platforms and optimize features effectively. 

  • Be aware of global trends, learn relevant research papers, develop new ideas. 

  • Code specialized shaders. 

  • Create procedural content creation tools. 

  • Implement work automation methods by scripting or using special tools. 

  • Enable good communication between the art team and programmers, providing guidelines, best practices and documentation for workflows 

  • Provide technical support to the artistic team for the tools and the engine 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Technical mind, developed logic, thinking “outside of the box”. 

  • Understanding memory and performance limitations of real-time rendering. 

  • Extensive knowledge of Unreal and/or a comparable AAA game engine 

  • Houdini experience and other procedural creation skills. 

  • Max/Maya scripting knowledge. 

  • 4+ years of experience in AAA console or PC games development. Shipped games or a strong portfolio are a must. 

  • Self-motivated and proactive. Doing R&D means digging your own path ignoring doubts. 

Preferences

  • Scripting skills e.g. Python, C++, etc. 

  • Experience creating physical, fluid, and gas simulations.
